Wayne W. Lee, DDS, DICOI

General Dentist & Implantologist

Dr. Lee has been practicing general dentistry in the Bay Area since 1999.  He started the San Francisco practice in 2001, serving the diverse Richmond community.  Dr. Lee enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with an emphasis on oral surgery and conservative cosmetic dentistry.  He continues to look for opportunities to better his skill by participating in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Francisco Dental Society, and ongoing educational courses.  Dr. Lee's unique approach to his patients derives from his unique upbringing and education.  He was born in Taiwan and came to the US after finishing elementary school.  His father is also a practicing dentist in Taiwan and has instilled in Dr. Lee a strong work ethic and advocacy for his patients.  Dr. Lee is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese and is culturally sensitive to each of his patients.

Dr. Lee graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine in 1995 with a bachelor of science in biology followed by a degree in doctor of dental surgery (DDS) in 1999 from the University of California, San Francisco with honors.  To broaden the scope of his practice, he attended The University of Miami's implant continuum and completed his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in 2003.  In 2015, he received the Diplomate credential, the highest credential, of the ICOI.  Dr. Lee takes time to listen to each of his patient's needs and caters his treatment plans to meet the patient where they are.  He enjoys seeing his patients satisfied with the work that he has done and looks forward to maintaining a long-term relationship with each of his patients and their family. 

Dr. Lee is married and has three kids that he adores.  He enjoys scuba diving, traveling, tennis, swimming, and skiing with his family and friends.  He is also actively involved with his church and the community.  Please ask him about what he loves most about the ocean when you see him.

Christina Liao, DDS

General Dentist

Known for her gentle touch, Dr. Liao focuses on providing comfort and the best care to all her patients. She is an active member of the California Dental Association, the San Francisco Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Liao graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2000, majoring in psychobiology.  She received her dental degree from UCSF School of Dentistry in 2005. In addition, she completed a general dental residency program in New York in 2006. 

After practicing in New York City for 3 years, Dr. Liao decided to make the move back to San Francisco in 2009 and has enjoyed being back in California and serving the San Francisco Bay Area’s diverse population. She has been a member of Dr. Wayne Lee’s office since early 2009 and shares Dr. Lee’s practice philosophy that patients are precious and doctors are here to meet their needs.

During her free time, Dr. Liao enjoys traveling, good eats, photography, and exploring the Bay Area. One of Dr. Liao’s goals in life is to visit all seven continents around the world, and she has only one left to go! Please ask her about her travels when you see her.

Jessica Lam, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Lam is a general dentist who joined Dr. Lee’s office in 2019. With the goal of saving the world one smile at a time, Dr. Lam has great compassion for her patients and serves to meet the patients’ needs. She shares the office’s philosophy that patients are precious and is dedicated to spending time with the patients to ensure all questions are answered and procedures are understood.

Dr. Lam graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State University as a biochemistry major and received her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She is an active member of the community and is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Francisco Dental Association.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lam enjoys watching shows and movies, running, listening and singing along to music, and eating. Please ask her about her favorite shows and movies when you see her.

Betty Mai, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Mai was born and raised in San Francisco and went to school in Los Angeles. She graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in biochemistry followed by a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). 

Dr. Mai is thrilled to be part of Dr. Lee’s practice that aligns with her commitment to putting patients’ well-being first. She values building long-term relationships with her patients and their families, ensuring that they feel heard and satisfied with the care they receive. With a gentle and approachable demeanor, Dr. Mai strives to make every visit a positive experience. 

When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with family and watching Korean dramas. She is also a huge Stitch and Mofusand fan. Feel free to ask her about her collection or what drama she’s currently watching!

Isabel Lau, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Lau is a Bay Area native who went to school in New York and Utah. She graduated with honors and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society from Roseman College of Dental Medicine. Being fond of the Bay Area, she returned to serve the people here.

She is happy to be part of Dr. Lee’s practice that shares the same philosophy as her in that her patients’ best interests and needs are prioritized. With her sunny, positive personality, she strives to provide the best care compassionately to her patients and help make their experience at the dentist comfortable and pleasant.

Dr. Lau is also a professionally trained cellist from Juilliard with a Bachelor of Music degree. She’s performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Davies Symphony Hall, and even for Valentino on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, New York.

During her free time, she enjoys classical music and K-pop, as well as exploring coffee/dessert cafés. Feel free to ask her about her other life as a cellist, her incredible experience in New York and Utah, and any recent cafés or Kpop concert she’s been to!

Tabitha Chen, DDS

Periodontist

 

Dr. Chen earned her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco and completed her residency in Periodontology at the University of California, Los Angeles. 


During her training, she gained extensive experience in diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, managing gum recession, and restoring smiles through dental implants and gum grafting procedures. Dr. Chen is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care in a warm and supportive environment, helping patients enhance both oral health and overall well-being. 


Outside the clinic, she loves dancing and spending time with her family.  Her goal is to show her two kids the world and introduce them to the incredible variety of cultures that make it so vibrant.


Dr. Sally Zhou, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Sally Zhou is a San Francisco native who brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to dentistry. She believes that great care starts with listening while taking the time to understand each patient’s needs, building trust, and creating a comfortable, supportive experience at every visit.


She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive and conservative dentistry. Dr. Zhou is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Francisco Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry, reflecting her commitment to professional growth and high standards of care.


Dr. Sally is mindful of creating a calm and reassuring environment, shaped in part by her own experience with anxiety as a patient in the dental chair. She takes pride in helping patients feel at ease through clear communication, gentle care, and a supportive approach. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve as your dentist and values the trust patients place in her.


Dr. Sally speaks Cantonese and Spanish, allowing her to connect with a broad range of patients in the Bay Area. Outside of the office, she enjoys creative pursuits such as junk journaling, doing her own gel manicures, and exploring Asian beauty and fashion. Her newest hobbies include fishing and tennis.
